2008 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications ATC 2008 and REV’08
IEEE Communications Society and the Radio and Electronics Association of Vietnam (REV) − the leading research tribune in electronics and communications in Vietnam− together offer scientists and engineers worldwide an international forum in communications and related fields by co-organizing the First International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2008) in Hanoi, Vietnam, during October 6-9, 2008.
The conference is
hosted by: The College of Technology of Vietnam National University, Hanoi ( COLTECH - VNU ),
sponsored by: Ministry of Information & Communication (MIC); Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA)
Vietnam has been developing very fast in the area of information and communication technologies over the last ten years and its booming market in these fields is receiving large investments from world top companies. Continued from a long outstanding relationship, the tight collaboration between IEEE ComSoc and REV for ATC 2008 now aims to speed up the convergence toward the so-called “flat world” of communications, providing a ubiquitous communications backbone for current and emerging communication services, both geographically and functionally.
REV’08, the eleventh of REV's biennial series of Vietnam conferences dedicated to addressing progress, problems, and new trends in Communications, Electronics will follow and combine to ATC 2008, so the co-conference is called ATC/REV 2008.
The Far East IEEE COMSOC Sister Societies Summit 2008 (FECSSS 2008 ) will take place in Hanoi, in conjunction with ATC/ REV 2008. It aims at fostering the exchange of information on the status of Telecommunications Evolution in the area (from India to Japan) and at the identification of initiatives to easy connection among local Societies and their members.
Adding up to the spirit of scientific exchange is a unique and enchanting experience awaiting ATC/REV 2008's participants not only to explore the many beautiful landscapes, historical vestiges, and world cultural heritage sites of Vietnam, but also to witness the current vibrant changes in the country and its people.
In addition, ATC/REV 2008 will also commemorate these important associated events:
